My first trip to Nagoya wasn’t actually about the city itself. It was a gateway to the breathtaking Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, famous for its dramatic snow walls that tower high above visitors each spring. About three hours north of Nagoya, the route draws travellers eager to walk between corridors of snow and witness one of Japan’s most spectacular seasonal sights.

Morikawa Bento is the newcomer to the local food scene offering consumers bentos and other Japanese sides freshly made to order on delivery platforms of DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub. Customers can also order for pick up at Avondale’s Food Pick Up where its kitchen is located.
